Here’s what you need to get started to register and link your account with Payflow:

  • Your Internet merchant account information including your merchant credit card processor and your merchant ID number
  • Your business address and contact information including phone numbers
Here’s what you need to accept directly accept credit card payments from your eBay customers:
  • Set up an Internet merchant account with your bank or a merchant credit card processor.
  • After you’ve set up your Internet merchant account, return to this page or your payment preferences page on My eBay to link your account to Payflow.
If you already accept PayPal payments, relax, you’re covered! Your customers can pay with credit cards with through their PayPal accounts.

When you get paid with PayPal, you’re covered by PayPal’s extended seller protection, which protects you against fraud. Your buyers are also protected by PayPal buyer protection for the entire amount of their purchase.

Payflow payment gateway services are FREE for eBay sellers, however your merchant credit card processor or bank will charge you for the transaction based on the rates noted in your account agreement. Contact your merchant credit processor or bank for more information about their transaction fees.
To accept credit card payments from your eBay customers through Payflow payment gateway, you’ll need to set up an additional Payflow account with a unique merchant ID (MID) and terminal ID (TID) that is different that the MID and TID used to create your first Payflow account.

The Payflow account you’ll be using to process eBay transactions is free of charge, so it must be separate from your existing Payflow account. Contact your bank to get an additional merchant ID and terminal ID before registering for your new Payflow account.
