Report Suspicious Email to eBay
If you have received an email requesting your account information and the page does not have 'ebay.com" immediately before the first forward slash (/), please forward the entire message to spoof@ebay.com. To do that, follow these steps:
- In your email program, click the Forward button.
- In the "To:" field, type spoof@ebay.com Do not change the subject line, add text, or forward as an attachment
- Click Send to send the message to eBay. Forwarding the message in this manner will allow us to review the message headers and any other information that may be attached to the email.

- Credit Card and Checking Account Information
Your checking account will be used for identification only. By having this type of identification from all users, eBay remains a safe place to buy and sell. eBay will not deduct any fees from your checking account unless you choose to have your seller fees deducted from it with eBay Direct Pay. - What does it cost to sell on eBay?
There is no cost incurred until you list your item. Once the item is listed there are a listing fee and some optional listing upgrade fees. When the item is sold there is a success fee. Learn more about fees.
