Keyword spamming happens when members put brand names or other inappropriate keywords in a title or description for the purpose of gaining attention or driving members to a listing. Searchable text sellers put in their listings must be directly related to the item being sold.

Kris wants to sell a backpack on eBay. It is not a brand name backpack so he is concerned that no one will find his listing. Because of this, he decides to compare his backpack to a more popular brand name backpack that looks similar to the one he has. He lists it with the title "Blue-Grey backpack similar to Adidas!"

Is this a good title to use?

a. Yes. How else is he going to drive buyers to his listing?
b. Yes, because the backpack looks like an Adidas backpack, Kris is just being descriptive.
c. No, Kris is not listing an Adidas product. He's not allowed to include any brand name other than the one associated with the item he is selling.
d. Yes, people shopping for Adidas products probably wouldn't mind seeing his backpack in their search results.
