Removing an Unpaid Item Strike

When buyers do not pay for items they have bought or won, they have violated eBay’s Unpaid Item Policy, and eBay may issue a strike on the buyer’s account. However, sometimes a buyer may receive a strike despite having paid for the item. The seller or eBay can remove the Unpaid Item strike.

Sellers: Removing an Unpaid Item strike for a buyer
  1. Click the “My eBay” link at the top of any eBay page.

  2. On the left-hand side of the page under My eBay Views, click the “Dispute Console” link.

  3. On the View Dispute page, select "Cancel the Unpaid Item strike for this dispute".

  4. Select confirm if you want to remove the Unpaid Item strike. The buyer will receive an email confirming that the strike has been removed.

Buyers: Appealing an Unpaid Item Strike

You can contact your seller and ask them to remove the Unpaid Item strike or you can appeal your Unpaid Item strike to eBay, if you have proof of payment.
