Search Tips for Reviews & Guides

Search tips for guides:

  • Enter a keyword or select a guide category to search or browse through eBay Motors and user-created guides.

  • Enter a guide title, tag, or description to have guides search match your keywords against the guide title, tags, and guide description, by default. When searching only for guides, uncheck the "Search title, tags and description" checkbox to only search by title and tags.

  • Sort by "Most helpful" to see guides that other eBay Motors users have voted most helpful.

  • Sort by "Most recent" to see recently created guides.

  • Use eBay search commands. Most eBay Motors search commands can be used to search for guides

Search tips for reviews:

  • Enter a keyword or select a reviews category. To search or browse, you must select at least one keyword or reviews category. Reviews are available in the Cars & Trucks and Motorcycles categories.

  • Specify year, make, model, or descriptive keywords Reviews search will match your keywords.

  • Do not search for text within a user's review. Reviews search will not match text within a user review (for example, "I like my Ford Mustang because Mustangs are the best car.").

  • Sort by "Most popular" to see reviews for vehicles that are current hot sellers on eBay.

  • Sort by "Highest rating" to see reviews for vehicles that received high ratings by eBay users.

Search tips for both reviews and guides:

  • Guides and reviews appear within 24 hours after they are created or edited.

  • There is no advanced search for reviews and guides.

  • For best results, do not search on a guide ID or User ID.
