Tips and strategies to get the most out of your eBay Store

Listing strategies: recommended listing mix of Auction-style, Fixed Price & Store Inventory Listings

Listing in different formats is the best way to get buyers to discover your Store. Be sure to list in all three types of formats: Auction-style, Fixed Price and Store Inventory to get different types of exposure on eBay.com.

The ideal listing format breakdown is going to depend on several factors, such as the type of inventory you sell. For example:

  • Unique/Hard-to-find Items — We suggest higher levels of Auction-Style and Fixed Price items to attract demand.

  • Accessories & Hard-to-find Items — We suggest an approximately even split of Auction-Style, Fixed Price & Store Inventory.

  • Accessories with Inventory Depth — We suggest a higher level of Store Inventory.
