Copying Uploaded Pictures to Picture Manager

If you are a Picture Manager subscriber, you can copy all your existing uploaded pictures to Picture Manager using the selling links box, under selling, in My eBay.

Copying your pictures
If you choose to copy your pictures, you can copy all your uploaded pictures in active and completed listings within the last 90 days. Once the copy is complete, we will send you a confirmation email.

If you have uploaded an identical picture in multiple listings or re-listed an item without changing any pictures, Picture Manager will try to detect the duplicates and create only one copy of the picture in your storage space. However, any pictures previously uploaded or copied to Picture Manager, will be duplicated.

Be careful to avoid deleting duplicates that were added to listings using Picture Manager, since they will no longer display in those listings. Clicking the In Use links in your folders in Picture Manager in My eBay will enable you to see the listings where pictures are being actively used.

If the pictures you copy exceed the storage capacity to which you are subscribed, we will automatically upgrade you to the next subscription level and notify you in a confirmation email. You can delete the copied pictures that you don't need and downgrade your subscription level at any time.

Note: If you are subscribed to Picture Manager as a part of an eBay Stores subscription, you can only copy up to 1MB of images and will not be automatically upgraded to the next Picture Manager subscription level.

Location and name of copied pictures

Once you finish copying your pictures, all of your copied pictures will be placed into a new folder called Picture Copies. If more than 150 pictures are transferred, a second folder called Picture Copies _1 will be created. If more than 300 pictures are copied, a third folder will be created called Picture Copies _2, and so on.

The copied picture filenames will be renamed based on the listing ID of the item from which they are copied. If there is more than one picture in the item, we will add the picture number to the name. For example, if two pictures are copied from the same item #123456789 they will be named: 123456789_1.jpg and 123456789_2.jpg.
