How to use PayPal internationally
eBay U.S. Sellers have two options for selling internationally using PayPal. Both options allow your international buyers to pay for items using PayPal. With a PayPal Premier or Business Account, you can accept credit card and bank account payments from buyers in 38 different countries worldwide, in several currencies.
Option 1: : List on eBay.com in U.S. dollars and select PayPal as an accepted payment option. The PayPal logo is conveniently displayed on the item listing page, and your buyer can pay immediately when the listing ends.
PayPal will automatically convert your buyer's payment - from Euros, Pounds Sterling, Canadian Dollars, or Yen - into U.S. Dollars.
Option 2: List on any of eBay's international sites, then send a Money Request after the listing ends. Before using this option, please be aware of the following:
- PayPal currently supports payments in U.S. Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling, Canadian Dollars, and Yen. If you list your item in any of these currencies, your buyer can pay in that currency using PayPal. You can then convert the payment to U.S. Dollars in your PayPal account, if you wish.
- If you list your item in a currency not supported by PayPal, you may convert the ending price to any PayPal-support currency and request the payment from your buyer. eBay recommends that you disclose the conversion rate in your item description.
- PayPal is not currently offered as a payment option on the Sell Your Item forms of eBay's international sites. To let your buyers know that you accept PayPal, however, you can add a logo to your listing.
