eBay Giving Works: Minimum Donation Information If your item sells, a $5 minimum donation is required for each eBay Giving Works transaction in order to ensure that a substantial gift will reach the nonprofit organization. If your item does not sell, no donation will be processed. Note: The minimum donation requirement does not apply to nonprofits selling items on your own behalf (Direct Selling) once you have added your eBay User ID as a Direct Seller in your Nonprofit My MissionFish account. All items on eBay are subject to the same standard selling fees. There are no additional fees for sellers to create eBay Giving Works listings. Note: When you donate at least 90% of the final sale price of an eBay Giving Works listing to a certified nonprofit organization (and the item sells), eBay will donate the Insertion Fee and the Final Value Fee you paid to the nonprofit designated within the listing. When MissionFish, the dedicated solution provider for eBay Giving Works, collects and disburses the donation, there is a small amount deducted to cover processing costs. The deduction is based on the following schedule.
Note: In Direct Selling, nonprofits collect funds directly from their buyers. MissionFish does not process donations for these transactions, and there are subsequently no deductions. Example 1: Seller A lists a painting at $10 and elects to donate 15% of the final sale price to support a nonprofit. The painting sells for $30.00.
Example 2: Seller B lists a DVD at $5 and elects to donate 90% of the final sale price to support a nonprofit. The DVD sells for $20.
Example 3: Seller C lists a big screen TV at $200 and elects to donate 60% of the final sale price to support a nonprofit. The TV sells for $1,000. Example 4: Nonprofit D lists a woman’s sweater to raise funds. 100% of the final sale price will support the nonprofit. The sweater lists for $10.00 and sells for $100.
