Build your business while supporting causes important to you—donate 10 to 100% of your item's final sale price to a certified nonprofit through eBay Giving Works, the dedicated program for charity listings on eBay.
Note: A $1 minimum donation is required if the item sells (this does not apply to nonprofits who are Direct Selling).
eBay Giving Works listings:
Tend to sell more often and at higher prices because buyers are more willing to purchase items that benefit a nonprofit
Stand out with a unique icon (
). Appear in specialized searches, giving buyers additional ways to find your item
Are eligible for the eBay Giving Works fee credit if the item sells.
You can enhance buyer trust and loyalty by supporting a cause, and you will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible donations.
Select a certified nonprofit organization that you want to support from the pull-down menu.
If this is your first charity listing, complete a one-time only registration process with MissionFish, who powers eBay Giving Works. You will be asked to submit credit card information-this enables MissionFish to process your donations.
Select a donation percentage (10 to 100%). Remember that if your item sells, a $1 minimum donation is required.
Select PayPal or a credit card as one of the payment methods you accept (not required in Motors or Real Estate categories).
Complete your listing and your sale as you normally would.
Collect payment from your buyer.
Fulfill your donation—payment instructions will be in your My MissionFish account. MissionFish will then distribute the funds to the nonprofit (minus small processing charges).
Note: The nonprofit you select will be notified of your listing according to its account preferences and has the right to request an item cancellation if it prefers not to benefit from your listing.
Nonprofits should place their eBay user ID in their Nonprofit My MissionFish account as a Direct Seller. This allows you to avoid the $1 minimum donation and payment method requirements for Community Selling as well as bypass donation processing. Additionally, you will not be expected to place a credit card on file with MissionFish when prompted to complete the required one-time registration process.
