Domestic Handling Time

Sellers are required to specify the amount of time they will take to ship the item after receiving a cleared payment from the buyer. (A "cleared" payment means that the funds have been deposited into your account.) Sellers may select a handling time between 1 to 30 days.

Indicating a handling time benefits both buyers and sellers. Buyers want to know before bidding or buying approximately how long it will take to receive an item. When sellers include this information, they are more likely to have their item sell.

Important: Do not include the amount of time the shipping service takes to deliver the item to the buyer's location.

When you specify a handling time and select certain shipping services (such services from the U.S. Postal Service and UPS), eBay will provide buyers with an estimated delivery time. This gives buyers an idea of how long it will take to receive the item.

Note: If you use the Get It Fast option, you must select a handling time of "1 business day."
