| Skype Preferences Skype is an application that lets buyers ask you questions instantly by chat (instant messaging) or voice (calling). When you link your Skype name to your eBay account, eBay will associate that Skype account with your eBay account. The primary Skype name is the account that buyers will use to initially contact you to ask questions. You will have the option of selecting that Skype name to add to your listings. You can select to have a chat button, call button, or both appear on your listings. You make this selection when you list your item. The buttons will display a presence (gray to the buyer unless you are online and signed in) using the account associated with your primary Skype name. Important: In order for the Skype buttons to show presence on your listing, you need to make a change in Skype. Open Skype, and click Tools > Options > Privacy. Make sure to select the “Allow my status to be shown on the Web” check box. Note: You can have multiple Skype names linked to your eBay account. Just click the “Add a Skype name” link to add another Skype account to your eBay account. | ||
