How does eBay rank reviewers?

We rank reviewers based on the number and quality of helpfulness votes they receive. Each positive vote adds a point, and each negative vote subtracts a point.

Top reviewers are shown at the top of product review pages. Here are the top levels:

  • Top 1: Highest reviewer ranking. It’s only  given to the reviewer that has the highest ranking.

  • Top 25

  • Top 100

  • Top 1,000

  • Top 5,000

  • Top 10,000

If you receive more than 100 helpfulness votes, we'll display a pencil-and-paper icon () next to your name.

We update all rankings periodically.
