eBay does not permit members to abuse the reporting process. Reports of policy violations to eBay must be truthful and submitted with the intent of addressing a known or suspected violation of eBay policy.
Violations of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
Limits on account privileges
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Loss of PowerSeller status
A member submits false reports of Feedback extortion for every negative and neutral Feedback rating received.
A seller abuses the Final Value Fee credit process by filing a report on a transaction where the buyer paid for the item.
Why does eBay have this policy?
False reports of policy violations delay the review processes of genuine reports, which is detrimental to the eBay community.
