How do I send my buyer an invoice?

To send an invoice to your buyer:
  1. Click the My eBay button at the top of any eBay page.

  2. In My eBay Views, under the All Selling section, click the "Sold" link.

  3. Under the "Items I've Sold" area, find the User ID of the buyer you need to invoice.

  4. Click the Send Invoice button to send the buyer an invoice.

Note: To send an invoice in this way, you must have eBay's payment system turned on or offer PayPal.

To turn on eBay's payment system
  1. In My eBay Views, under the My Account section, click the "eBay Preferences" link.

  2. Under the Seller preferences section, click the "Change" link.

  3. On the Payment & Shipping Preferences page, click the "Show the Pay Now Button in all my listings" option.

  4. Click the Submit button.

If your buyer requests the total, you'll receive an email containing the buyer's shipping address. You can click the link in the email to create and send your buyer an invoice for the total amount. You can also send an invoice from the listing and from My eBay.

If your buyer has purchased more items from you, you can also send the buyer a revised invoice. This invoice may contain items that the buyer has previously checked out, but for which no payment has been received. The buyer will need to check out again to complete the transaction.

Tip: For eBay Stores items, you can send an invoice once your buyer requests the payment total. Your buyer has already committed to purchasing the item and your inventory has been deducted.
