Entering Verification Codes

Your account security is important to ensuring a positive experience on eBay. As an additional security check, or if your password is identified as not being secure enough, eBay may occasionally ask you to enter a verification code. This extra security check helps eBay prevent automated registrations and inappropriate use of the site. The verification code is not your password or any other personal information.

If you’re having trouble deciphering the code hidden in the image, click the “Refresh the image” link and a new image will appear. If you enter the code incorrectly, you’ll be redirected to a new page where you can try again.

If you can’t see the image, click the “Play audio” link to go through an audio security check. Your system must be enabled to play sounds in WAV format.
