Managing Buying and Watch Lists with My eBay

You can view and manage all of your eBay buying activities from a central location — the My eBay All Buying page.

For example, you can:

Viewing Buying Reminders

The Buying Reminder section of My eBay is like a to-do list for your eBay buying activities. For example, you can check buying reminders to see how many items you still need to pay for and how many transactions are still awaiting your Feedback.

To view buying reminders:
  1. Go to My eBay and log in if required.

  2. Click the “All Buying” link in the left-hand navigation.

  3. (Optional) Click a buying reminder link in the Buying Reminder section.
For example: Suppose that you click the “I need to pay for 3 items” link. The I've Won section appears where you can pay for those items.

Managing items you’re watching

The Items I'm Watching section of My eBay allows you to track up to 100 items that you are interested in buying. Manage this list by adding or deleting items. You can even add notes to items you’re watching, bidding on, or have won.

To manage items you're watching:
  1. Go to My eBay and log in if required.

  2. Click the “Watching” link in the left-hand navigation and do any of the following:

  • View specific items by clicking the “All”, “Active”, or “Ended” links in the upper left corner of the Items I'm Watching section.

  • Add an item to your list by clicking the “Watch this item“ link on the top right of any item page.

  • Delete an item from your Items I'm Watching section by selecting the check box next to the item title, and clicking the Delete button.

  • Add a private note to an item on your list by selecting the check box for the item, and clicking the Add Note button. Then type your note, and click the Save button. Learn more about adding a note to an item.

Managing items you’re bidding on

The Items I'm Bidding On section of My eBay allows you to view all items you're currently bidding on - including those that you’re winning or not winning. Items you're currently winning appear green and bold; items where you've been outbid appear in red.

To manage items you're bidding on:
  1. Go to My eBay and log in if required.

  2. Click the “Bidding” link in the left-hand navigation.

To see all of the items you're bidding on, or just those that you are winning or are not winning, using the links in the upper left corner of the Items I'm Bidding on view.

Note: After a listing ends, it automatically moves to the Items I've Won or Items I Didn't Win sections. You can’t delete an active item that you’ve been outbid on until the listing ends.

Managing your Bid Assistant groups

With Bid Assistant you can create a group of items you’re interested in, set your maximum bids, and have Bid Assistant bid on your behalf until you win one item from the group.

Note: Bid Assistant is currently available to users with a Feedback Score of 5 or more.

To manage your Bid Assistant groups from My eBay, from the left column of My eBay, click the “Bid Assistant” link under All Buying. Select the Bid Assistant group you want to view from the “Display group” menu in the upper left corner.

Items are listed in chronological order, starting with the item that ends first. Items that you have lost will have “Ended” in the Time Left column. The item that you are currently bidding on will be noted as “Current bid” and will be highlighted. Items that you are scheduled to bid on will be noted as “Pending."

To edit your maximum bid on an item in your group:
  1. From the left column of My eBay, click the “Bid Assistant” link under All Buying.

  2. Click the "Increase Max Bid" link next to the item you want to edit.

  3. On the Place Bid page, enter your new maximum bid. Click the Continue button.

  4. Review and confirm your new maximum bid, and click the Confirm Bid button.

To delete an item from your group:
  1. From the left column of My eBay, click the “Bid Assistant” link under All Buying.

  2. Select the check box next to the item you want to remove from your group, then click the Delete button.

Note: If you are currently bidding on an item, you cannot delete it from your group or decrease your maximum bid. However, you can always increase your maximum bid.

Managing Items You’ve Won

The Items I've Won section of My eBay allows you to view all your recent purchases on eBay and see the payment and Feedback status at a glance.

To manage items you’ve won:
  1. Go to My eBay and log in if required.

  2. Click the “Won” link in the left-hand navigation.

You can:

  • Use the buttons and links in the Action column to complete your purchases.

  • Use the Period pull-down menu in the upper right corner to select the time period for the items you want to view.

The icons in the right columns appear if you:
Paid for the item.
Left feedback for the seller of the item.
Received feedback from the seller of the item. It also shows the type of Feedback: positive (displays a plus), neutral, or negative (displays a minus).

If the icon is blue, it means you’ve completed the action. If the icon is gray, it means you haven’t completed the action.

You can use the links in the upper left corner of the Items I've Won section to see items you've won, or just those that are awaiting payment or Feedback.

Note: If you accidentally remove an item from your Items I’ve Won list, you can retrieve the item.

Tracking Items You Didn’t Win

The Items I Didn't Win section of My eBay shows items you bid on that ended, but were won by another member.

You can search for other items from the same seller or related items; if the seller relists the item, you can view the relisted item. You can also post a request for the item in Want It Now.

To track items you didn't win:
  1. Go to My eBay and log in if required.

  2. Click the “Didn’t Win” link in the left-hand navigation and do any of the following:

  • View other items offered by the same seller by clicking the “View seller’s other items” link. If the item you didn’t win is relisted by the seller, go to the Action column and click “View Relisted Item" to see the item.

  • Search for similar items by entering your keywords in the Search box at the top of the page.

Note: If you accidentally remove an item from your Items I Didn't Win section, you can retrieve the item.
