Motors Assurance Program - Overview

The eBay Assurance Program for Vehicles offers a set of services that provides protection for every step of the vehicle buying and selling process.

  • Take advantage of a bumper-to-bumper inspection to confirm the vehicle's condition.
  • Use caution when considering escrow. To avoid being deceived by fraudulent escrow services, use www.escrow.com, eBay's approved escrow service. For a small fee, www.escrow.com will hold the buyer's payment and forward it to the seller after the buyer receives and approves the item.
  • If applicable, receive Vehicle Purchase Protection coverage.

Note: The eBay Assurance Program does not replace common sense. Be sure to review the eBay Motors tips on buying or selling a vehicle. Knowing as much as possible about your trading partners (buyers and sellers)—along with clear communication—can prevent the vast majority of problems. The eBay Assurance Program is your safety net if something goes wrong despite the buyer and seller's best efforts.
