Saving your searches

If you frequently perform the same searches, you can save time by saving your searches. This way, you can run your search with a single click or receive search results automatically by email.

Saving a search

To save a search:
  1. Search for something that interests you.

    • Locate the search box at the top of the page. Enter two or three words that describe what you’re looking for and click the Search button.

    • To quickly narrow your search results, use the Refine search section on the left side of your search results. Your saved search includes both your search words and any search options you select.

  2. Click the Save this search link at the top of your search results.

    From here you can:

    • Name the search

    • Request email notification of new items that match this search. We'll send you one email a day, containing up to 20 matching items. Clear the check box if you don't want to receive any emails.

  3. Click the Save button.

Running a saved search

Once you've saved a search, you can get the search results at any time.

To run a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. From the Activity tab, under the Organize heading, click Saved searches.

  3. Click the search name to run the search. 

Receiving email notifications for saved searches

To get notified by email about new items matching your saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. From the Activity tab, under the Organize heading, click Saved searches.

  3. From the Actions drop-down menu to the right of your saved search, select Edit Search.

  4. In the Save this search dialog box, select the option for daily email notifications and choose how long you want to get daily emails.

  5. Click the Save button.

Editing a saved search

To edit a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. From the Activity tab, under the Organize heading, click Saved searches.

  3. Locate the search you want to edit.

  4. From the Actions drop-down menu, select Edit search .

  5. In the Save this search dialog box, change your search as needed.

  6. Click the Save button.

Deleting a saved search

To delete a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. From the Activity tab, under the Organize heading, click Saved searches.

  3. Locate the search you want to delete.

  4. From the Actions drop-down menu to the right of your saved search, choose Delete search.

    Tip: Be sure you want to delete the search, because you won't get a prompt before the search is deleted.

Adding a note to a saved search

To add a note to a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. From the Activity tab, under the Organize heading, click Saved searches.

  3. Locate the search in the list.

  4. From the Actions drop-down menu to the right of your saved search, choose Add note.

  5. Enter your note.

  6. Click the Save button.
