Saving your searches

If you regularly search for certain items, save time by saving your searches. Once you save a search, you can get the latest search results from My eBay or get search results automatically by email.

Saving a search

To save a search:
  1. From the top of any page, enter the item you're looking for in the search box, and then click the Search button.

  2. On the search results page, click the Save search link near the top of your results.

  3. The Save this search box appears with a suggested name for your search and the option to receive email notifications when new items match your search. Clear the Email me daily when new items match my search check box if you don't want to receive notifications.

  4. Click the Save button. Your search will be saved on your My eBay page.

Accessing your saved search results

Once you've saved a search, you can access the latest search results at any time.

To run a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. On the left side of the page, in the Lists section, click Saved searches.

  3. From your list of saved searches, click the search you want to run. The latest results will display. 

Receiving email notifications for saved searches

To get notified by email about new items matching your saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. On the left side of the page, in the Lists section, click Saved searches.

  3. From your list of saved searches, find the search you want.

  4. Click the More actions link next to that search and select Sign up for emails.

  5. Select the Email me daily when new items match my search check box.

  6. Click the Save button.

Editing or deleting a saved search

To edit a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. On the left side of the page, in the Lists section, click Saved searches.

  3. From your list of saved searches, find the search you want to edit. Click the Edit search link to the right of the search.

  4. On the search results page, click the Save Changes button at the top of the results.

  5. In the pop up window that appears, make your changes. Be sure to select the search you want to edit from the Replace this search drop-down menu.

  6. Click the Save button.

To delete a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. On the left side of the page, in the Lists section, click Saved searches.

  3. From your list of saved searches, find the search you want to delete, and then select Delete search from the More actions drop-down menu.

Adding a note to a saved search

To add a note to a saved search:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.

  2. On the left side of the page, in the Lists section, click Saved searches.

  3. From your list of saved searches, find the search you want to add a note to, and then select Add note from the More actions drop-down menu.

  4. Type your note, and then click the Save button.
