Enter basic vehicle information
Make: It is not always necessary to include the make of the vehicle in your search, because some sellers do not include this information in their item titles. For example, if you are searching for a Ford Mustang, you'll get more results by typing Mustang into the Vehicle model box and leaving the Vehicle make box blank.

Model: If your vehicle model contains a number, consider excluding the model and just enter the make. For example, if you are searching for Oldsmobile 442 parts, type Oldsmobile 442 into Vehicle make box and leave the Vehicle model box blank.

Provide a year range If you do not find enough parts for your car, try entering a range of years rather than just the model year that you own. Often parts fit multiple years. You can enter both 2-digit years (94) or 4-digit years (1994) in the Vehicle year box. If you would like to search one year versus a range, enter the same year in both the From and To search boxes.

Start with a vague search and narrow it down
You may need to try a few searches before you get the right results. For example, if you are searching for a Chevrolet Suburban Z71, you might want to start by typing Suburban in Vehicle model box and if you receive too many results, type Z71 or Z 71 or Z71 4x4 into the Enter keyword box to narrow the results.

Searching for universal fit parts
If you are searching for a universal fit part such as mufflers, floor mats, seats, try using the keyword box to enter the type of part without specifying a make or model.

Check your spelling
If you're not sure how to spell something, check an online dictionary to confirm the correct spelling.

Add or remove the letter "s" for more results
For example, you'll get two different lists of listings when you search for muffler and mufflers. Try your search with and without the final "s."

Don't use extra punctuation
Only use punctuation in your search if you expect it to appear in the item title or description, for example F-150, Mercedes-Benz, and CR-V
