eBay offers 2 ways for you to make an online cash donation to your favorite nonprofit organization—Give At Checkout and Donate Now. You can donate as little as $1 using your PayPal account. PayPal Giving Fund, our nonprofit partner, will send 100% of your donation to the nonprofit organization you choose. These donations are tax deductible.
Making a donation using Give At Checkout
To donate through Give At Checkout:The Give At Checkout option will appear on your checkout page if you are paying using PayPal and have not opted out of Give At Checkout.
Select the amount you want to donate ($1, $5, $10, $20, or $25).
Removing or restoring the Give At Checkout option
To remove or add the Give At Checkout option: Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.
Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then select Donation Account.
Saving and deleting favorite nonprofits
You can save as many favorite nonprofits as you want. If you save multiple nonprofits, they will appear in random order each time you complete an eBay purchase or create an eBay listing. Only one nonprofit will appear at eBay checkout each time.
To choose the nonprofit you'll see at checkout:Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.
Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then select Donation Account.
Under Preferences, click My Favorite Nonprofits, and then search for your favorite nonprofit by name and save it.
Other ways to save a nonprofit as a favorite:Visit your Donation Account in My eBay and select one of the featured nonprofits.
Visit the About My Nonprofit page for any nonprofit in our directory and click the Add to Favorites link.
To delete a favorite nonprofit:Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages. You may need to sign in.
Place your pointer over the Account tab, and then select Donation Account.
In the My Favorite Nonprofit preferences, search for the nonprofit you want to delete and click the Remove button.
Using Donate Now
You can use Donate Now on eBay Giving Works to make an online cash donation to your favorite nonprofit organization, without buying or selling anything. Using your PayPal account you can donate as little as $1. PayPal Giving Fund, our nonprofit partner, will send 100% of your tax-deductible donation to the nonprofit organization you choose.
You must have a PayPal account to use Donate Now. You do not need to be an eBay member.
To donate using Donate Now:Click the view button next to the organization's name.
Click the Donate now button on the About My Nonprofit page. (If you don't see the Donate now button, the organization is not accepting online cash donations.)
Decide how much you want to give.
Complete your donation on PayPal. (Don't have a PayPal account? Open one now.)
We'll email you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
