Buying digital items

A digital item is a computer file or special information that you can access online or have delivered electronically. For example, you might buy an MP3 file of a song (that the seller is legally authorized to sell) and download it to your computer. Or, you might buy an original dessert recipe and receive it in an email.

All digital items are listed in the Classified Ads format in the Everything Else > Information Products category.

The Classified Ad format doesn’t allow buyers and sellers to transact online through eBay, and Feedback isn’t available for this type of transaction. To express your interest as a buyer, email the seller by clicking the Ask a question link in the Seller info section. You may also be able to call the seller, if a phone number is available in the listing.
