Using My eBay

You can see everything you're doing on eBay in one place—My eBay.

What is My eBay?

My eBay lets you track your buying and selling activity, send and receive secure emails, and update your account information. If you buy or sell on eBay regularly, you'll want to go to My eBay when you sign in.

To go to my eBay, click My eBay at the top of most pages.

Track what you buy and sell

On the Activity tab, use the links on the left to track your buying and selling activity.

  • Buy tracks items you're bidding on, made offers on, or didn't win.

  • Lists contains all your lists, including items you're watching, your wish list, saved seller list, saved search list, and any custom lists you've created.

  • Purchase history contains all the items you've bought in the last 3 years.

  • Sell tracks items you're selling or have previously listed for sale.

Tip: The Shortcuts list, which appears on the bottom left side of the page, lets you go to other eBay pages quickly. You can edit the Shortcuts list to include the pages you use most by clicking the Edit Shortcuts button.

Customize what you see in My eBay

Want to add or move sections around? Change the header color? Delete items in your watching list? Learn how to customize My eBay to fit your needs.

View or update your account information

To see or change your account information, click the Account tab in My eBay. You'll see your financial and billing information.

Update your user ID, password, telephone PIN, profile, email address, mailing address, and automatic payment method.

Choose how and when you receive notifications from eBay about your buying and selling activities. Also, choose how members communicate with you.

Site Preferences

Update your selling and general preferences.

Seller Dashboard

Keep track of how you're doing as an eBay seller. Learn more about your Seller Dashboard.

Note: Seller Dashboard is only available to sellers with at least 10 detailed seller ratings.

Feedback

Keep track of Feedback you’ve received and Feedback you need to leave for others. Learn more about Feedback.

Seller Account

View billing information for your seller fees, along with links to payment methods. Also, view statements for any applications for eBay you're subscribed to.

Donation Account

Go to eBay Giving Works, where you can make donations, request tax receipts, and more.

Resolution Center

Resolve problems with other members. Learn more about the Resolution Center.

PayPal account

View your PayPal account information.

Half.com Account

Access and manage your Half.com account information.

Marketing Tools

Change preferences for your marketing tools, including cross-promotion defaults.

Using messages

The Messages tab displays messages you've received from eBay or other eBay members.

If you receive a message from eBay at your registered email address, you'll also find a copy of it in your messages in My eBay. This duplicate message in My eBay verifies that the email is authentic and not a spoof (fake) email.

To see your messages:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. If you have unread messages, you see a number in parentheses on the Messages tab.

  3. Click Messages to read your messages.

We recommend that you check your messages frequently.

You can reply to messages up to 90 days after a transaction.

Add an email signature

An email signature adds a personal touch to your outgoing emails. Adding an email signature can help promote your business and give customers easy access to your contact information. If you have an eBay Store, you can also add your eBay Store logo to your signature.

To add a signature and Store logo:
  1. Go to My eBay > Messages.

  2. Select Change settings on the top right side of the page.

  3. In the Email Signature section, select Show signature.

  4. Enter your signature in the text box.

  5. If you have an eBay Store, you can also add your Store logo by selecting the Add my store logo check box.

  6. Click Apply.

To remove your signature:
  1. Go to My eBay > Messages.

  2. Select Change settings on the right side of the page.

  3. In the Email signature section, select Don't show signature.

  4. Click Apply.

Sending out of office replies

If you're going on vacation or not planning to check your email for a while, use the out-of-office reply to notify others who try to contact you. When you create an out-of-office reply, your message is automatically sent in response to any incoming email.

To turn on your out-of-office reply:
  1. Go to My eBay > Messages.

  2. Click Change settings on the top right side of the page.

  3. In the Out of office email response section, select Turn my out of office response ON.

  4. Select a Start Date and End Date.

  5. Enter a message to send to your customers while you're away.

  6. Click Apply.

When the out-of-office reply is on, you see an alert when you visit your Messages inbox.

To turn off your out-of-office reply:
  1. Go to My eBay > Messages.

  2. Select Change settings on the top right side of the page.

  3. In the Out of office email response section, select Turn my out of office response OFF.

  4. Click Apply.

Use applications to help you manage your selling activities

If you sell on eBay, you have access to third-party applications that help you with your selling activities.

To see which applications you're subscribed to:
  1. Go to My eBay > Applications

  2. Click Apps Center
