Skype, an eBay company, is an easy way for members to communicate. Skype is a simple software application you download and install on your computer. With Skype you can talk to anyone, anywhere for free.
Use Skype to chat or call from your computer over the Internet. To get started, download and install the application, create a Skype name, and sign in. If you are going to call, you will need speakers and a microphone.

Signing In to Skype
To get started using Skype, you’ll need to download and install the Skype application to your computer.
Go to http://www.skype.com, and click Download.
Select the operating system you are using on your computer, such as Windows.
Follow the instructions to download and install the application.

After you install Skype, you can create a Skype name and profile. This is the name that other people will use to contact you on Skype.
Open the Skype application on your computer.
Click the “Don’t have a Skype Name” link. The Create a new Skype Account dialog will display.
Follow the instructions to create a new Skype account.
Note: If you already registered a Skype name on eBay, you can use that account to sign in to the Skype application. You don’t have to create a new Skype name.
After you create a Skype name, sign in to Skype to chat with or call other people. If you are calling over the Internet, you’ll need a headset and microphone.
Type your Skype name and password, and click the Sign In button.
Begin using Skype to connect.
