For Sellers

How do I get my eBay listing to be included in "Get It Fast" searches on eBay?
It’s easy!
  1. List your item on eBay.com as a Buy It Now, Store Inventory Format or Auction with Buy It Now format
  2. In the shipping section select "1 business day handling time" (this is a new field)
  3. Properly specify overnight shipping in your listing using one of four overnight shipping services
  4. Check the "Get It Fast" checkbox
You’re done!
Does eBay charge fees for inclusion in the "Get It Fast" program?
No, the "Get It Fast" icon is free.

What is domestic handling time? Is this the same as delivery time?
The domestic handling time is the amount of time you will take to ship the item after receiving a cleared payment from the buyer. (A "cleared" payment means that the funds have been deposited into your account.) Specify your domestic handling time by selecting it from the pull-down menu. Do not include the amount of time the shipping service takes to deliver the item to the buyer’s location.

The domestic handling time is displayed to buyers on the item page. For example, if you select a domestic handling time of 2 business days, the following message appears: "Will usually ship within 2 business days of receiving cleared payment." By knowing your handling time and the transit times of the shipping services you offer, buyers can get an idea of how long it will take to receive the item

The domestic handling time applies only for domestic buyers; for international buyers you can specify it in your item description.
How does eBay calculate the "As soon as" delivery date at the top of the "Get It Fast" listing?
The delivery date shown at the top of the listing (for example, "As soon as September 6") is calculated by taking the current date, adding the domestic handling time of the seller (1 business day), and then adding the maximum delivery time of the fastest shipping service (for example, 1 business day).

Suppose you list an item with a domestic handling time of one business day and offer UPS Next Day Air, which has a delivery time of one business day. If a buyer views your listing on Monday, December 21, the "As soon as" date displayed at the top of the item page will show "as soon as December 23" if they use Buy It Now and you receive their cleared payment right away.
What are the requirements to sell with Buy It Now?
To sell with Buy It Now, you must have either a minimum feedback rating of 10 or be ID verified . Or if you have a PayPal account, you need to have a minimum feedback score of 5 and accept PayPal as a payment method.
What are the requirements to create a Fixed Price listing?
To create a Fixed Price listing with a quantity of one, you must have a feedback rating of 10 or more (or be ID Verified ). If you have a PayPal account and accept PayPal as a payment method on the listing, your feedback rating only needs to be 5 or more.

To create a Fixed Price listing with a quantity of two or more, you must have a feedback rating of 30 or more and be a registered user for at least 14 days (or be ID Verified ). If you have a PayPal account and accept PayPal as a payment method on the listing, your feedback rating only needs to be 15 or more.
What are the requirements to list a Store Inventory Format item?
To list a Store Inventory Format item, you must first have an eBay Store. To open an eBay Store, you must have a feedback rating of 20 or be ID Verified or have a PayPal account in good standing.
What shipping services are overnight services? I.e., what shipping services are "Get It Fast" enabled?
In order to include your listing in the "Get It Fast" program you must specify at least one of these four overnight shipping services available to your buyers: 1) U.S. Postal Service Express Mail®, 2) UPS Next Day Air®, 3) UPS Next Day Air Saver® or 4) Standard Overnight Service. You may offer other shipping services as well as long as one of the four are the services previously listed. The new generic shipping service "Standard Overnight Service" will be available to sellers on December 19, 2005.
Why can’t shipping services such as U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail or UPS Ground® be "Get It Fast" listings?
"Get It Fast" is a program that is designed to highlight to buyers those items they can get very quickly from eBay sellers. Only overnight shipping services allow buyers to get their items very quickly and with enough certainty to know exactly when they will arrive. For example, quick delivery is critical for buyers shopping for a birthday present two days before the event. An alternative for sellers is to select one overnight service and one slower shipping service in the same listing, giving the buyer the option to choose at the time of purchase.
Can Get It Fast items be listed internationally? Can international buyers purchase Get It Fast items?
Items that qualify for Get It Fast on eBay can be listed internationally and bought by international buyers. When these items appear on other international sites however, the Get It Fast messaging and logo will not appear. When international buyers browse eBay.com, the Get It Fast messaging will also not appear. Due to longer transit times and customs for international listings, we make this messaging only available to domestic buyers.
Can auction-only listings be included in the "Get It Fast" Program?
No, auction-only listings cannot be "Get It Fast" listings. The value of the "Get It Fast" program for buyers is the ability and certainty of getting their purchased items very quickly. Having to wait 2-10 days for an auction to end does not allow the buyer the ability to get their item quickly. An option for auction-only sellers is to include the "Buy it Now" format to their auction listings. This allows their inclusion into the "Get It Fast" program while the "Buy It Now" feature is active on the listing before the first bid is placed.
What happens if a buyer purchases my "Get It Fast" listing, but because unusual circumstances I cannot ship it within one business day?
By selecting the Get It Fast option, you are committing to ship the item within one business day of receiving a cleared payment, even if the buyer does not select an overnight shipping service. You should take this commitment seriously to avoid receiving negative feedback from buyers.

If you cannot ship the Get It Fast item within one business day, we recommend that you quickly contact your buyer to inform them. We recommend buyers and sellers communicate to resolve such an issue. eBay’s messaging on the listing to buyers is "Will usually ship within 1 business day of receiving cleared payment".
What is the definition of a "business day"?
"Business days" are normal weekdays ending at midnight in the seller’s time zone. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not considered business days. For those calculations that estimate a delivery date for buyers, eBay also takes into account shipping carrier holidays which maybe different from public holidays.
How will I change my eBay Stores listings in time for the holidays?
Consider changing only a portion of your eBay Store listings instead of all. Select those listings and products that you feel buyers may indeed be willing to pay extra shipping for a quick delivery.

Bulk editing of stores listings will be enabled for both “Get it Fast” and domestic handling time. For those listings that have an overnight shipping service included previously, from “Items I’m Selling” in My eBay select multiple listings at one time. Next add domestic handling time and if you choose, “Get it Fast” to hundreds of listings all at one time.

How do I search for "Get It Fast" listings on eBay?
It’s easy! Next to any eBay search box, you’ll see the "Advanced Search" option which appears next to it. Click on "Advanced Search" and on the next page, scroll down and check the "Get It Fast items" box in the "Show only" section. Enter your search term in the text box at the top of the page and click "Search".

Another alternative is to customize your search options on the left side of the search results page. Click the "Customize options displayed above" link and move the "Get It Fast" option over to the right side of the table. Click "Save" and you are done - a Get It Fast checkbox will always appear to the left of your search results pages!
If I purchase a "Get It Fast" listing, am I required to select the overnight shipping service?
If the seller has offered other methods of shipping, then you may select any of the shipping methods listed. If the seller has selected only overnight shipping in their listing, then you are required to select and purchase overnight shipping from the seller.
What is "Service Transit Time" that shows at the bottom of eBay listings? How do I estimate my package delivery date?
Service transit time refers to the published transit times of the shipping carriers such as the U.S. Postal Services and UPS®. Some can be estimates and some are guaranteed, depending on the carrier and service, so read carefully. It does not indicate a delivery time for the eBay item to your location.

To estimate the total delivery time of your eBay item, add the seller’s handling time which appears also at the bottom of the listing to the carrier’s transit time. For example, suppose you buy an item with a domestic handling time of two business days and select U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail, which has an estimated transit time of 2-3 business days. The estimated delivery time of your package would be 2 business days for handling and 2-3 business days for transit time. This would total 4-5 business days from the day your seller received payment for your item.
What does "receipt of cleared payment" mean? Is this the day I send the payment to the seller?
A "cleared" payment means that the funds have been deposited into the seller’s account. To ensure your payment is received quickly by your seller, we recommend using PayPal. PayPal is the fast, safe and easy way to pay sellers-it lets you send payments instantly online from your credit card or bank account to the seller. When paying with PayPal and using eCheck as the funding source, there maybe a delay in the time it takes the payment to be deposited into the seller’s account. If you do not use PayPal, the payment clears once the seller has possession of the funds (such as after a personal check clears your bank).
What happens if the seller of a "Get It Fast" listing does not ship it within one business day?
If your seller cannot ship the Get It Fast item within one business day, there is probably a very good explanation for it. Inclement weather, unforeseen emergencies and other circumstances can make it difficult for sellers to sometimes ship within one business day. We recommend to sellers that they quickly contact you if they are unable to ship within the time indicated. We recommend buyers and sellers communicate to resolve such an issue.
How does eBay calculate the "As soon as" delivery date at the top of the "Get It Fast" listing?
For all Get It Fast items, an estimated delivery date is shown on the item page. This date is calculated by taking the current date, adding one business day for your domestic handling time, and then adding the number of business days your fastest expedited shipping service takes. "Business days" are normal weekdays. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays do not count as business days.
I’m an international buyer from another country browsing on eBay.com. How come I do not see a "Get It Fast" option in search or listings pages?
Items that qualify for Get It Fast on eBay.com can be listed internationally and bought by international buyers. When these items appear on other international sites however, the Get It Fast messaging and logo will not appear. When international buyers browse eBay.com, the Get It Fast messaging will also not appear. Due to longer transit times and customs for international listings, this messaging is only available to domestic buyers.
