1 Month/1,000 mile Short Term Service Agreement (for selected vehicles)
Buyers can purchase your vehicle with confidence! Your vehicle may be eligible for a 1 month/1,000 mile Short Term Service Agreement for any U.S. resident buyer of your vehicle.
NOTE: eBay Motors will be switching off the Short Term Service Agreement (STSA) program on 11/14/2005 for newly listed or relisted vehicles. Cars listed after November 14 will not be eligible for STSA coverage. Buyers who place a winning bid, Best Offer, or Buy It Now on a qualified listing that was created before November 14 will still be able to register for this program by following the links on the closed View Item page (link available only to the winning buyer).
- 1 month/1,000 mile Short Term Service Agreement does not cover existing mechanical problems.
- There is a $500 deductible per visit.
- STSA is not available for buyers in New Hampshire
- Your vehicle data is automatically checked for qualification when you list on eBay Motors.
- There is no cost to you (the Seller) to include and no cost for the Buyer to receive-with no obligation!
Here's how it works:
- Seller lists vehicle on eBay Motors. Based upon the vehicle's data (make, model, mileage, etc.), 1 Month/1,000 mile Short Term Service Agreement eligibility will be immediately determined by Aon Warranty Group.
- Seller confirms vehicle has no mechanical modifications and is not a special vehicle type.
- Buyer activates the 1/month/1,000 mile Short Term Service Agreement after a successful purchase on eBay Motors. Within 7 (seven) days of auction close, the Buyer registers (using the link on the Closed Item page) to activate the Short Term Service Agreement directly with Aon Warranty Group.
In CA, FL, and MD, the STSA product is known as a Limited Warranty. In these states registration is not required to activate the Limited Warranty coverage on eligible vehicles. A paper copy of the Limited Warranty is available through the registration process.
You do not need to have an inspection of your vehicle to qualify for coverage, but you must confirm your vehicle has not had any mechanical modifications or is a special vehicle type. Existing vehicle damage or problems are not covered. See agreement for details.
