These five finalists were selected over hundreds of other entrants based on a 250-word essay and a "Before" picture describing how they would use items purchased on eBay, with a budget of $2,500 to express their individual sense of style in that room. It was off to the races in early October once the finalists were notified. They had only four weeks to complete all their shopping, receive items from sellers and redecorate their rooms.
