Improving the Profitability of eBay Retailers
As the number of competitive retailers on eBay continues to grow, margins are diminishing. Retailers need to process their transactions more efficiently and at the minimum cost necessary, especially in marketplace and transaction fees. Technology allows us to design and provide tools for these retailers to minimize their costs and maximize their return on investment, allowing them to sell their products for less than their competitors. We will discuss such strategies as Variation Listings, preserving Sales History with the Relist functionality, Catalog adoption, improving retailer metrics to achieve greater fee discounts and more. Using these strategies, retailers can increase their sales while reducing their costs on a per-sale basis.

When Creativity Isn't Enough, Try Murder
Making the right choices leads us, and our organizations to thrive. Many books and speakers wax poetic that the best ideas come from "blue-sky ideation," but generating ideas is only part of the challenge of winning. While brainstorming generates lots of ideas, but you still have to discern the right choices to win. The current economic situation means identifying, winnowing and making the tough choices to choose ideas that deliver immediate results. Organizations often avoid tough choices because they want consensus, immediate results, and to avoid political fights. The opposite of whiteboarding, the MurderBoarding™ decision process ensures teams creatively generate many potential options before "killing off" options one-by-one until there is single best solution for a specific organization and situation. The result is the organization aligns to a common goal and takes on clear, achievable, and measurable goals. This session provides you with a framework for nailing the tough choices you need to make to win.
Feedback Forum: eBay & PayPal Trust and Safety
eBay and PayPal work hard to combat fraud on our platforms. In this open feedback forum, talk directly with the key people on our Trust & Safety teams. Let us know what is and what isn't working well for you, and how we can continue to work together to make it easy for honest sellers to use eBay and PayPal. Be sure to bring your specific questions and suggestions.
Supporting Multi-Variation Fixed-Price Listings in Your Application
One of the major enhancements to listing formats that eBay is introducing this year is multi-variation fixed-price listings, where variations of a product can be consolidated in a single eBay item. These listings will make it easier for sellers to create and manage, and buyers to shop for, items that vary by size, color, etc. Supporting multi-variation items in API applications involves not only changes to the eBay API calls that you make, but also to existing data schemas, all of which can be difficult to implement in existing applications. This session will provide an overview eBay multi-variation items, how to use these items via the eBay API, and what strategies you might use to adapt an existing application to work with this new format.
Determining Demand and Marketing Your Tools
eBay developers face hurdles when choosing what to build and how to get the message out to the eBay community. This business session looks at how any developer can use marketing techniques and ideas to determine where the needs are, what to build, what to name it, how to spread the word, how not to spread the word, and how to build trust with your users.
Best Practices Integration
Best Practices for integrating PayPal on your website. Reduce shopping cart abandonment and encourage checkout by using best practices with PayPal.
Developers Program Business and Product Feedback Forum
In this open and interactive feedback panel, talk directly with the key people running the eBay Developers Program business, product, and technology teams, along with the eBay Seller Platform Efficiency team. Let us know what is and what isn’t working well for you, and how we can continue to work together to make it easy for you to be successful eBay developers. Help us guide our program and product roadmap for the coming year and beyond. Bring your specific questions and suggestions.
