As eBay grows, there are more and more unique items for sale. At the same time, with that many great things out there, how to find exactly what you are looking for? Well, we're here to help.
There are two main types of Search pages on the site. The first one is what we call the Advanced Search page, accessible through the navigation bar on the top of every page on the site. The second is the Search Results page, which is dynamically generated every time you run a search. On the top of every Search Results page there are commands that allow you to sort items or easily run new queries.
Many of you have written to us with suggestions on how to improve the Advanced Search and the Search Results pages. You will be happy to hear that we conducted detailed usability studies to develop a better design for them. We expect these new versions to become available on the site in the next few weeks. In the meantime, we wanted to give you an opportunity to preview the new designs and tell us what you think.
Here is the new Advanced Search page.
And here is what the new Search Results pages will look like.
If you have any comments on these new pages, write to us at newebay@ebay.com with the words "New Search Pages" in the subject.
As always, site stability is our number one priority, and we will not launch any changes to the site that might compromise site performance.
Thank you for your support!
