Take a look at some of the events happening this month! Then bid on terrific items (or sell some you may already have) on eBay!

Anti-Boredom Month - July 1 to 31. Ho hum. Tired of going to the same old categories to look for only the items that you collect? Here's a novel idea! Go to the listings page, scroll down to the categories, and close your eyes (no fair peeking). With your eyes closed, touch the screen, then open them! Are you pointing to Vintage Vehicles in the Toys, Bean Bag Plush category? Did you touch upon Native Americana items? Wherever you landed, go to that area and explore something new. Bet you'll chase the boredom away with excited thoughts like "I had no idea I could find THAT on eBay!"

Canada Day - July 1. This national holiday (formerly known as Dominion Day) commemorates the confederation of Upper and Lower Canada and some of the Maritime Provinces into the Dominion of Canada on July 1, 1867. Click on your favorite province or territory (Yukon, Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick) and see what's on eBay to help you celebrate the day! And don't forget to pick up a Canadian Flag to wave proudly as you watch all those parades!

I Forgot Day - July 2. "Darn! Granny's birthday was last week and I forgot to buy her a teacup for her collection!" Sound familiar? Today's the day to make up for all the birthdays, anniversaries, new births, graduations, and all those other events that you forgot to acknowledge with a gift. Look around on eBay and you're likely to find the perfect present for everyone you may have recently forgotten. Just think, Granny and all the other folks in your life who deserve recognition will be so pleased you remembered!

Independence Day - July 4. On this day in 1776, the U.S. adopted the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress. Get ready for all of your star-spangled celebrations—pick out a U.S. flag, picnic supplies, water skis, and much more on eBay! And for those of you always on the go, perhaps a car, truck, or recreational vehicle would add fireworks to your holiday plans.

Seafair - July 9 to August 8. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of this Seattle, Washington annual event in style! We have everything you need to prepare for the Northwest's largest summer festival. How about some comfortable running shoes for watching Seafair's Torchlight parade or participating in the Torchlight Run? You can even go all out and buy a boat to catch the U.S. Navy Blue Angels air squadron perform from your own special viewing location on Lake Washington!

Disneyland: 44th Anniversary - July 17. America's first theme park opened in Anaheim, California, on this day in 1955. Take a look at the thousands of items listed in our Disneyana category! We have everything for Disney fans from vintage Mickey Mouse items to contemporary music from Disney films.

Paperback Books Introduced - July 30. Although soft-bound books were introduced in 1841 in Leipzig, Germany, the modern paperback revolution is attributed to the publishing of the first paperback book by Sir Allen Lane in London in 1935. Without Sir Allen, you'd have to pack those heavy hard-bound books to take on your vacation this summer!
