eBay: Dolls

Caring for Your Collection

The following information is provided to educate and inform. eBay™ is not liable or responsible for any type of damage or loss caused, or alleged to be caused, directly or indirectly, by the information below.

Caring for dolls is no easy task. Owning a special doll gives you the responsibility to preserve the doll for your enjoyment as well as the enjoyment of future generations. In general, the less you handle your dolls, the better. Of course, that's not easy to do. You probably will want to touch your dolls, but you need to be aware that the natural oils of your skin can soil or damage them. You can wear cotton gloves to protect your dolls, but make sure you wash the gloves often.

Be vigilant about the care of your dolls. Examine them regularly for possible damage or problems that you might be able to stop before they get worse. If your dolls need repair, consult a professional doll restorer or an expert. Poor repair work can ruin or decrease the value of your doll.
