Reaching International Buyers
by Jim 'Griff' Griffith

Q: Hi Griff,
I'd like to open my listing up to international buyers, but my listing has already started. How do I do this? I went in and tried to change my preferences, but it didn't prompt me to change shipping locations. I am currently set for US buyers only.
Thanks for the help,
Elle
A: Hello Elle,
If you are attempting to change the shipping preferences for one listing, you may do so only if no one has yet submitted a bid for the item. Here's how you can let international buyers know that you're willing to ship to their countries:
- Go to the item page (make sure you are signed in as the seller) and click the link for Revise Item. From there, navigate to the section for Payment & Shipping and click the link for "Edit payment & shipping."
- Scroll down to the "Shipping costs" section and click the tab for Flat or Calculated, depending on which shipping cost method you are offering.
- Click Add Service under International Shipping.
- Follow the instructions from there by checking the box for each country to which you will ship. My suggestion is "Worldwide."
This will add your item to item searches made from eBay sites at the selected locations.
Regards,
Griff
