What is eBay Live!? It is an annual event when the entire eBay Community gets together to celebrate achievements, meet old friends and make new ones, and learn ways to be even more successful on eBay.

At eBay Live! you'll learn a lot about being more successful on eBay from the eBay experts as well as from successful Community members. You can take classes on a myriad of eBay-related topics, attend labs and participate in discussions. You can share a meal with other eBay members with similar interests, meet eBay employees, and even take a tour of eBay’s campus.

There is something for everyone, whether you are a high-volume seller or an occasional buyer, a stamps collector or a car dealer, or you just want to learn more about eBay and its Community. As member 1st_oliveoyl says so well, "eBay Live! is part pep rally, part educational and part party!"

This year's event will be held June 23–25 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. The conference will be packed full of classes and events geared to all levels of eBay use. New events this year include:

• Networking Breakfasts – The Networking Dinners last year were such a hit we've extended them to include breakfast too! Here's your chance to relax over a meal and learn with other Community members. We'll even put a group together for you.
• Take a Break Theater – Get off your feet for a while and relax in a comfortable theater. Buy some popcorn and a soda and enjoy viewings of popular TV programs that have written eBay into their scripts.
• eBay Campus Tours – 90-minute tours of the eBay campus. Take the official shuttle bus from the Convention Center to the eBay campus.
• Teen Camp – Teenagers can hang out, make new friends, and play video games while mom or dad enjoys conference activities.
• Special 10-year anniversary surprises – The 10th anniversary of the eBay Community is a special cause for celebration. There'll be events to honor this milestone throughout the Conference.

The beauty of eBay Live! is that it offers activities and educational opportunities for all levels of eBay use. Perhaps you're a buyer who wants to begin selling, or maybe you're a part-time seller who is interested in taking your business to the next level, or maybe you just want to start collecting – there are classes and activities just for you!

funfindsfromsuz, who attended in 2004 at New Orleans, shared, "I think I learned more on the exhibition floor and from talking to other eBayers than I did at the actual classes. Of course, I'm a pretty small seller and do NOT try to make my living on eBay, so I have a different perspective. I do know that some of the classes on marketing were very interesting. But the ones I enjoyed most were the 'fun' sessions like 'Strange eBay Auctions' and the 'Bargain Hunt Challenge' game show I participated in."

Said tradrmom, "eBay Live! has been my inspiration to grow my business when family and friends kept thinking I had lost what few marbles I still thought I had. After Anaheim (eBay Live! 2002) I became a PowerSeller from using tools I saw demonstrated, and each year I have picked up enough tips and tricks to help a lot – meeting people is really interesting as it's everything from green hair and tattoos to business suits. Since becoming a PowerSeller, I enjoy the PowerSeller Lounge. It's great to hear the real stories and the real struggles out there."

eBay traditionally sends hundreds of employees and executives to each eBay Live!, both to staff the event and to get to know the Community better. eBay employees look forward to this event all year and always come away thankful for the privilege of meeting the Community. Tina Howard, from the Community Development team, said, "The best analogy I've heard is that eBay Live! is like a reunion of thousands of close friends, whether we have met them before or not. It's the most energizing event of the year, and when one is over, we start eagerly looking forward to the next one!" In the Pinks Lounge you'll get to meet the eBay employees you chat with every day on the Discussion Boards. All around the eBay Live! venue, you will have many opportunities to meet and interact with eBay employees, who will be more than happy to talk to you and learn about your eBay experiences.

eBay Live! is all about learning and growing. It's about making new friends and catching up with old.
