Q. Jim, I signed up for eBay University and they gave me a User ID and password that is ridiculous. Can I change them? If so, how? The password is soooo long there is no way I can get it correct every time. I've been trying to use it, and I have only gotten it correct once, so I need to change it, if I can. Please, advise. A. Hello rkp4, I am going to assume that you mean your eBay User ID and password, and yes, you can change them if you choose. You can change your eBay User ID once every 30 days. Your new User ID must be unique and must not have been used by anyone else on eBay for the past 30 days in order for you to adopt it as your new User ID. To change your eBay User ID, go to My eBay (the link to which is found on the top of any eBay web page) and log in. Select the Preferences tab. Click the link labeled "Change My User ID" link and follow the instructions from there. You can change your eBay password any time you like. To change your eBay password, follow the instructions above to get to the Preferences tab in My eBay. Click the link labeled "Change My Password" under "Password Assistance." Regards, |
