I Can't Find What I'm Looking For!

Where did it go?!

If you are like most people, you become accustomed to how things are arranged, and you know where things are kept. When someone comes along and rearranges them, or changes their locations, it can be frustrating until you learn the new locations. Recently, some things at eBay have seemed to disappear. Actually, they haven't, so my purpose here is to let you know where they went.

The Item Number tab has disappeared from Search! This was a bit of a shock to some of us. You can imagine how happy I was to find out that we can put the item number in the Title Search field on the Search page and the listing comes up.

The Completed Items tab is gone, too. We've had several months of warning about that, so we know that we can find it at Advanced Search.

Part of the good news is that a Search Stores tab has been added to Advanced Search.

There is also a new link to Completed Auctions on the Site Map.

Sometimes, when you go to the Home Page, you see Live Help and sometimes you won't! You won't always be able to find it, on the Home Page , but you can find it on the Do it eBay page. It also appears on the Home Page and on the Sell Your Item page.

There is another change that is of benefit. If you go to the Navigation Bar at the top of any eBay page, and click on "Services" you get a new Nav Bar with "Rules & Safety" on it! It used to take several more steps to get to this page. You may want to bookmark the web forms for Customer Support and Safe Harbor, or the actual web forms themselves.

You can find most things easily by using the Site Map (there's a link at the top of nearly every eBay page), or the Navigation Bar at the top of eBay pages. If you still haven't found what you're looking for, try the new Help system. There is an alphabetical directory there. If you don't find it the first time, try to think of another term for the same thing. Don't forget to explore the links at the bottom of the page, either!
