Q. How can I get rid of the PayPal credit card logo on my listings? I do not accept credit cards, nor do I want to. Everyone is clicking on that and paying through there… A. Why those pesky buyers! Imagine! They are paying you. How dare they! What nerve! (Forgive me. I couldn't resist.) In all seriousness, to remove the PayPal logo from your listings, first make sure that you have unchecked the appropriate box for accepting credit cards through PayPal on the eBay Sell Your Item form. Also, if you have a PayPal account, go to www.PayPal.com, sign in and click the tab for Profile. Under Selling Preferences, click the link for Auctions. Under the column for Automatic Daily Logo Insertion, click the ON link and select the OFF option button. Best of luck! Q. I'm trying to find out why when I entered a proxy bid for an item tonight it jumped my bid by .35 cents? No one else was bidding against me. Please let me know. A. Without an item number to check, I cannot tell you the specific reason for the jump. However, there are legitimate reasons for a bid to jump in this manner. First, if the item was a Reserve Price listing and your bid met or exceeded the reserve, the high bid shown would "jump" to the reserve. Second, if your previous bid was a tie bid with a previous high bidder, or was somewhere within the even bid increment, a subsequent bid by you would "jump" the bid amount to the next increment. Let's say, for example, that an item's opening bid is at $5. I bid $6.05. The current bid shows $5 (since I am the first and, for now, only bidder). A new bidder (you) shows up and bids $6.05. The high bid shows you as the high bidder at the tie bid of $6.05. However, if you then rebid, say, a bid of $6.55 or higher, the current high bid will jump to $6.55 even though you are effectively bidding against yourself.
