The Spotlight's On: eBay Member wanderwonder

wanderwonder has been an eBay member for over three years. Now selling full time, she enjoys meeting people from around the world and specializes in selling gems and minerals. She also likes to use eBay to purchase from a variety of item categories.

Following her father's lead, she started out with a laptop computer and some "Mystery Rocks". Within three months she had learned HTML code and also quit her job to sell on eBay full time!

wanderwonder says, "Now I have more time for my family, less stress, and a pretty decent income. Yay, eBay!"

She also credits her success as a seller to being honest and trying hard to pick the best overall category for her items. She believes customer service is an extremely important part of being a good seller.

She tells us, "I value my customers, not just as buyers, but as potential friends. Many of them now are!"

For new members, she advises practicing patience, honesty, and courtesy.

"Communication is everything," says wanderwonder. "I recommend keeping your transaction 'partner' informed of every step taken, whether buying or selling."

On occasion, wanderwonder can be found posting on the eBay Cafe or Q&A chat boards.

We'll let her tell you in her own words what eBay means to her:

"For me, eBay means freedom - the freedom to work in my own time and in my own way. To do as much or as little as I want, and to get back what I put into it. eBay gives me financial independence, and the pride of knowing that I earned it.

"eBay is also about community. I have built relationships here that go well beyond buyer/seller. To me, eBay is not a job or an online auction site, it is a way of life."
