Founded on the principles of community and exchange of information, eBay is the worldwide leader in person-to-person trading over the Internet. Our trading environment connects people around the world so they can trade and chat about their hobbies and passions. The eBay community is founded on the principal that people are basically honest and trustworthy. But more than that, by fostering open communication and exchange of ideas, this global marketplace can facilitate change and help people improve their lives and communities by linking people with common goals.
eBay Foundation Guiding Principles
- We reflect the values and community orientation of eBay.
- We support organizations that provide tools, hope, and direction to those who seek new skills. They teach the teachers, who in turn help people recognize the potential in themselves to improve their surroundings, their lives, and their communities.
- We are like eBay - clever, unique, passionate, and eclectic. We support organizations that implement programs that have long-term implications and maximize the ability to do good in the world.
eBay Foundation Community Grants
The eBay Foundation welcomes grant requests from programs that are consistent with the Guiding Principles outlined above and in particular reside in a community in the United States where eBay has a major employment base.
