Share your photos for a chance at valuable exposure

If you'd like your user ID and a link to your My World page featured on an eBay product details page in the eBay product catalog, now's your chance. Starting September 1, 2009, eBay will begin considering the photos sellers upload to their eBay listings for possible inclusion in the eBay product catalog. We may, at our discretion, select one or more of your product photos to represent a product in the eBay product catalog. If we do so, we'll acknowledge you as the person who contributed the product photo by referencing your user ID and providing a link to your My World page on the product details page for the product featured in your photo.

Please note that being opted into the program does not guarantee that any of your photos will be selected for inclusion in the catalog.

On the other hand, if you don't want to share your photos with eBay product catalog, it's easy to opt out (and easy to opt back in at any time). To opt out:
  1. Click on "My eBay" at the top of any eBay page (you may be asked to sign in)
  2. Choose the "Account" tab at the top of the page
  3. Click on "Site Preferences" in the left hand margin
  4. Click on "Selling Preferences"
  5. Click on the "Show" link to the right of "Share your photos"
  6. Click on the "Edit" link next to "Consider photos I upload in the listing process for inclusion in the eBay product catalog and other product offerings."
