Get Into the Action With Nintendo Wii Controllers

Get Into the Action With Nintendo Wii Controllers

Let’s face it, one of the big selling points of the Nintendo Wii is its controller, the Wii Remote (also called Wiimote). It’s filled with motion sensors, letting you control on-screen gaming action with your movements, but there’s an issue: your console only comes with one! Not to worry, Nintendo Wii was designed to bring people together and supports up to four controllers. You’ll find a huge selection on eBay, as well as add-ons and options to bring your gaming to the next level.

  • Wii Remote: Pick up additional Wii Remotes and plug in with friends.

  • Nunchuk: Numerous adapters can plug into the Wiimote and a lot of gamers start with the Nunchuk. It connects to the Wiimote through a thin cable and has an analog joystick, two buttons, and motion sensors, giving you the ability to use both hands to control your games.

  • Wii bundles and packs: Step into the shoes of your onscreen player. Slip your Wiimote into the Wii baseball bat, Wii tennis racket, Wii golf club, or Wii steering wheel, or slash your way to victory with the Wii sword and shield set originally released for use with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

  • Wii classic controller: The Wii classic controller looks similar to the control pad for the SNES, but has two analog joysticks and a few extra buttons. Although it does not have motion-sensors, it makes a good choice for playing old-school games available for purchase through Nintendo’s Virtual Console. Most GameCube controllers work with Nintendo Wii as well.

  • Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite: Nintendo Wii supports Wi-Fi, which means you can use handheld Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite video game systems as controllers.

Stay Connected With Nintendo Wii Accessories

Stay Connected With Nintendo Wii Accessories

Stay connected to your games with must-have Wii accessories.

  • Rechargeable batteries: The Wiimote runs on two AA batteries, and if you have the Nunchuk attached they can drain quickly. Using rechargeable batteries can save you money in the long run, and they’re friendlier on the environment.

  • Charging and holding docks: Power up your Wii Remotes with Wii charging stations, perfect for rechargeable batteries. Since Wiimotes aren’t tethered to your console, consider getting a Wii Remote holding dock to keep them in a place that’s easy to find.

  • Wii Points: With Nintendo Wii, you can go online to the Virtual Console area of the Games Shop to download classic games released for NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and Turbo Grafx16. You can either purchase games with your credit card or with a Wii Points card, which you may want to consider if you want to give the kids a video game download spending limit.

  • SD card: Nintendo Wii has 512MB of built-in flash memory, but you can get more space with SD memory cards.

  • Wireless access point: Set up your wireless home network and use Nintendo Wii’s Wi-Fi to get on the Internet. Wireless routers by many different manufacturers will work. If your Nintendo Wii is close to a computer that’s connected to the Internet, you can use a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector to connect the two and get online with your Wii.

  • Wii skins: Style up your console and controllers with colorful Nintendo Wii skins, Wii Remote skins, and Nunchuk skins. Skins fit over your hardware and typically do not void your warranty. However, if you have questions or concerns, read your Nintendo Wii warranty and make sure you’re adhering to all of its conditions.

Buy Nintendo Wii Games and Accessories With Confidence

Buy Nintendo Wii Games and Accessories With Confidence

Before bidding on an iPod, make sure you know exactly what you’re trying to purchase, research your seller, and understand how eBay and PayPal protect you.

Know your purchase

Carefully read the details in item listings.

  • Figure delivery costs into your final price. If you spend a lot of money, make sure the seller will insure the item when it ships.

  • If you want more information, ask by clicking the "Ask seller a question" link under the seller's profile.

  • Always make sure to complete your transaction on eBay (with a bid, Buy It Now, or Best Offer). Transactions conducted outside of eBay are not covered by eBay protection programs.

  • Never pay for your eBay item using instant cash wire transfer services through Western Union or MoneyGram. These payment methods are unsafe when paying someone you do not know.

Know your seller

Research your seller so you feel positive and secure about every transaction.

  • What is the seller's Feedback rating? How many transactions have they completed? What percentage of positive responses do they have?

  • What do buyers say in their Feedback? Did the seller receive praise?

  • Most top eBay sellers operate like retail stores and have return policies. Do they offer a money-back guarantee? What are the terms and conditions?

Buyer protection

In the unlikely event that a problem arises during your transaction, eBay and PayPal are there for you.

  • Pay safely with PayPal: PayPal enables you to pay without the seller ever seeing your bank account or credit card numbers. In fact, PayPal protects buyers 100% against unauthorized payments from their accounts. Plus, with PayPal Buyer Protection, your purchase can be covered up to $2,000.
