Seller Tools: Seller's Assistant Migration
Overview: Launched in October 2005, Blackthorne is the redesigned and renamed version of Seller's Assistant. Blackthorne offers the key features of Seller's Assistant, but is easier to use and contains many new and improved features to help you save time.

Migration Update: Based on user feedback we are extending support for Seller’s Assistant Basic and Pro until early 2007. The extension will provide you additional time to familiarize yourself with Blackthorne and help prevent interruption to your business during the holiday season.

The information and resources on this page will help ensure a successful migration to Blackthorne. Please read through information below.
Tips for a Successful Migration
Follow these steps to migrate of your data from Seller’s Assistant to Blackthorne:

1. Check to make sure your computer is optimized for Blackthorne. View System Requirements. Blackthorne requires more memory and processing speed than Seller's Assistant and does not support Windows 98.

2. Download and read through the appropriate Seller's Assistant to Blackthorne Migration Quick Start Guide. There are 2 guides - one for Seller's Assistant Basic and one for Seller's Assistant Pro. These simple instructions (with pictures!) walk you through how to migrate your data from Seller's Assistant to Blackthorne and how to get started with Blackthorne.

3. Download Blackthorne software. If you already have Blackthorne installed, make sure you have the most recent version. To ensure you have the most recent version, click "Help" then "Check for Updates and Messages." Do not uninstall Seller's Assistant until you have completely transitioned to Blackthorne. You can continue to use Seller's Assistant while you are testing Blackthorne.

4. Get more help if you need it. Read the Blackthorne FAQs, post questions to the Blackthorne-hosted discussion boards or join us for an online workshop. (See workshop schedule below.)

5. Stay informed. Check your email, the General Announcements Board and Blackthorne Discussion Boards for the latest information regarding the migration.
