eBay Names Senior Executives to New Posts
SAN JOSE, Calif. November 17, 1999eBay® (NASDAQ: EBAY; www.ebay.com), the world's leading person-to-person online trading community, today announced the promotion of Brian Swette to chief operating officer. Previously Brian was eBay's senior vice president of marketing and general manager of eBay U.S. The company also announced that Steve Westly has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of international and premium services.

"eBay has a world class management team, committed to developing our site as the world's best place to trade."
As chief operating officer, Brian Swette will be responsible for the day-to-day running of eBay's operating units, including the eBay U.S. site, regional sites, user services, autos and customer support. As senior vice president and general manager for international and premium services Steve Westly oversees eBay Great Collections, Butterfield & Butterfield and the company's continued international expansion. eBay currently has international operations in Australia, Canada, UK and Germany. Steve will also continue to run eBay's mergers and acquisitions group as well as the company's corporate communications function.
In other changes announced by eBay today, Jeff Jordan was named as vice president and general manager of regionals and services, Jim Davis becomes vice president of US marketing, Matt Bannick promoted to vice president of product and community, and Simon Rothman to vice president and general managers of eBay autos and Kruse.
